- Breathe in and smell the aroma of the wine, you will find that the majority of the wines have a distinguishing aroma of the grapes they are produced from, for e.g. Hunter valley wine: Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz and the Barossa Valley wine: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Every wine is completely different with traces of citrus and red fruits, and spicy, toasty, buttery and creamy aromas.
- Take a small sip let the wine swish around your mouth before you swallow which will allow you to observe a variety of sensations.
- Swallow the wine, however if you are tasting a large amount of wines it is best to spit the wine out into container.
- Revive your senses and enjoy the experience of a fine Australian wine.
